William Richardson, MD

I’m a board-certified Ob/Gyn with over 35 years of experience, including 25 years as founder and Medical Director of a full-scope reproductive health center in Tucson, Arizona. From 2014 to 2020, I also served as Medical Director for Planned Parenthood of Arizona, where I oversaw clinical operations, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance during a period of complex legal and operational challenges.

Now transitioning from direct patient care, I’m seeking remote, part-time roles where I can apply my skills in clinical quality, healthcare compliance, utilization review, or support for new abortion care startups. I offer deep experience in developing protocols, maintaining regulatory compliance (including HIPAA and state-specific abortion laws), and mentoring clinical teams — especially in the telehealth and reproductive health space.

In addition to quality and compliance work, I’m passionate about expanding access to care and have a strong interest in supporting new or transitioning abortion care providers with strategic planning, clinical oversight, and operational readiness.
